Gender Identity Clinic - New Registration and Route

NEW REGISTRATION

Visit GIC in person, bringing along:

  1. Hong Kong identity card

  2. Referral letter


New registration is free of charge.

SERVICE HOURS OF GIC

Monday to Friday

  • 9 am-1 pm, and 2-5 pm

​(Closed on Saturdays, Sundays, and public holidays)

Recommended to arrive at GIC between 9-11 am, or 2-4 pm.
New registration takes around 1 hour.

  • Gender Identity Clinic (GIC), 3/F, Li Ka Shing Specialist Outpatient Clinics (North Wing),

Prince of Wales Hospital, 30-32 Ngan Shing Street, Shatin, New Territories

If you have updated HKID personal particulars (E.g. name), and yet to update that of records of the Hospital Authority

  • Please first consult Enquiries at PWH, update the records, before heading to 3/F, Li Ka Shing Specialist Outpatient Clinics (North Wing) for registration.

New registration - Turn right ►

To: Psychiatric Out-patient Clinic Reception

To: GIC (Before that, pay for the appointment at the shroff on G/F)

PROCEESS OF A NEW REGISTRATION

  1. After arriving at the Psychiatric Out-patient Clinic Reception, simple say "I would like to register, please", and present your HKID and referral letter.
     

  2. Fill in a form for personal particulars.
    (If you do not wish to receive any mails, and/or the clinic calling your emergency contact person, please directly inform staff)
     

  3. A nurse will ask you basic questions related to your gender identity and mental health.
     

  4. Completion of new registration: Receive an appointment slip of the first time seeing a psychiatrist of GIC​.
