Hong Kong Public Gender Identity Clinic - Injection of Hormones

HOW MAY I USE THE INJECTION SERVICE OF THE HOSPITAL AUTHORITY (HA)?

If one is prescribed medications for injections (E.g. nebido, sustanon, diphereline), they would receive

  1. Treatment Sheet (See picture below)

  2. Prescription

  3. Medication (To be paid for, and collected with the prescrption, after an appointment of endocrinology)

FAMILY MEDICINE CLINICS & FAMILY MEDICINE INTEGRATED CENTRES

According to doctor's instructions, and the time and frequency specified on the Treatment Sheet, one may visit a Family Medicine Clinic, or Family Medicine Integrated Centre (Formerly known as "General Out-patient Clinics” and “Community Health Centres") under HA, any one in Hong Kong. Please bring along

  • Treatment Sheet (See picture below)
  • Medication

  • Face mask (Generally required for entering each cliic)

Public healthcare fees and charges reform has taken effect on 1 January 2026. For details, please refer to "Estimated Expenditure of Public and Private Services".

  • Each injection: HKD 50

No booking is needed for the first injection. Afterwards, one may consider having injections in the same, or any of these clinics in Hong Kong.

  • It is possible to book the next injection at the same clinic right after an injection. This generally facilitates a smoother service process.
